Dragon Ball Z movies typically fast-forward to those monumental fight scenes everyone wants to see. Broly: The Legendary Super Saiyan doesn’t break that trend. Since there’s obviously going to be a Super Saiyan battle around the corner in this DBZ movie, you may as well prep yourself for impending disaster when two enemies are introduced: Paragus and his son, Broly. Can you guess which vegetables their names are supposed to evoke? Are you getting hungry? Will this evil, sneaky and maniacal father-and-son team prevail? Of course not! Who will save Earth and the galaxy from these dangerous villains? Krillin!! Okay, not really… In a dramatic plot twist, Goku is cast as the hero of the story. How does he do it? Find out in Movie 8.

Anybody who’s ever been suckered out of something valuable (like your money, Game Boy Advance, iPod, trust, dignity, etc.) or fell for something too good to be true will totally relate to Vegeta’s predicament in Movie 8. Watch poor Vegeta stupidly believe that he’s the rightful ruler of “New Vegeta” (a false world created by Paragus for reasons of revenge) then have it all snatched away because he was simply a pawn in a terrible feud between two Saiyan clans. Once Paragus’s real intentions are revealed, the ensuing chaos is predictably of galactic proportions.

But is Paragus the one everyone should be scared of? Heck no! It’s his son Broly, who has a chip on his shoulder the size of the Milky Way. Get out of his way or be turned into a sticky Saiyan smear. Broly is a crazy killing machine–just ask his dad! Oops! You can’t–Broly just killed him! This time Goku, Vegeta, Trunks, Gohan, Krillin, Master Roshi and Oolong all get involved–and it ain’t pretty. Mean, green Broly outlasts the attacks of everyone involved, and can’t wait for more. See what Goku has planned for the seemingly undefeatable Broly…and be amazed!
