Golden Freeza Joining “Zenkai Battle Royale” Roster

The May 2015 issue of V-Jump reveals that Golden Freeza (the villain in his new form from the upcoming film, Dragon Ball Z: Revival of “F”) will be joining the roster as a playable character in Zenkai Battle Royale, the Japan-exclusive, arcade-only, multiplayer fighting game.

“Golden Freeza” is previewed using several moves. The first, “Consecutive Death Beams”, allows you to hit a faraway opponent with a quick barrage of Death Beams, which the caption likens to a Gatling gun. In another, “Death Counter”, you can quickly get up from being sent flying to fire back with an energy blast, which you can use to attack an opponent who has come in for the kill. A third, “Death Spike”, is not given a description, but appears to be landing feet-first on a fallen opponent to deal significant damage.

The most recent additions to the roster have included Raditz and Paikuhan. Super Saiyan God Son Goku and Beerus, the God of Destruction, were revealed for inclusion in the game ahead of and in conjunction with their March 2013 film debut in Battle of Gods.

Zenkai Battle Royale first test-launched in Japanese arcades at the end of 2010 and, while it has continued to receive constant updates since then, has not had a home port announced.
