Thanks After going over a quick comparison of the two on amazon, I figured I should buy the newer release (sorry!), since I'm used to the FUNi dub, and if I want to see it "uncut for real," then I'll just watch the subbed version. Also, I figured that if you were to keep the original scrip...

Dead Zone vs. re-release

I know the EX staff hates the "Ultimate Uncut" version of this movie, but is there really any difference? I'm sure that the voices and background music were changed, but what else? From EX's review, the UUEs have kept some of the same script from the Ocean dub. For the re-release of Dead Z...

There's indeed a bit of explanation in the daizenshuu about the language. (snip image) From the French translation, it's a photo so it's kinda hard to read with the flash and such ^^; (it was even more unreadable w/o the flash though) Cool, so at least we know that the language has some actual stru...

I'm pretty sure Life on Forbez is still being updated. The problem is it's not being updated very frequently :?.

Some people in an old irc channel I used to go to said that Brolly is stronger than SSJ3 Goku... A general lie from the series that was believed by many when I first got into DBZ was the Brolli was stronger than anyone else... ever . It's feels good to know that you're better informed nowad...

I think I actually know what you're talking about. I don't really remember anything about it but wasn't it hosted on the Planet Namek page? Yeah, I'm afraid it was all too long ago but I definitely remember something about whales and boxing gloves, if that means anything. Yeah, that was when Chi-ch...

Little Saiyalings

What do you guys think of this series? For those of you who don't know, it's basically an online comic about most of the DBZ characters if they were to all hang out as kids without their powers. Think of it as the Peanuts comic strip gone slightly awry... :? Eh, I remember I really liked this series...

This is good news. I didn't expect this so soon. Now if only we'd get the rereleases of DBZ Movies 2 and 3. I think the subtitling on movie 2 is fine as it already is on the Pioneer release, plus it's the best dbz dub ever made. Refer to episode 17 of the podcast for info on why the Pioneer version...

I believed that Vegeta had to hold Kid Buu in place and take a shot from the spirit bomb, but that because the spirit bomb only obliterates those of a pure evil heart Vegeta survives and Kid Buu is destroyed. That's the best one I got. I actually wouldn't mind if that were true. It makes the effect...

By the way I just saw US vol 25 and the other terrorist's gun has been turned back into a machine gun. Even with the usual "BUDDA BUDDA BUDDA" sound effects those usually have. Darn! I already bought the volume! Can anyone do a scan of the actual page of the SJ version? What do you mean? ...

I would go with the "Viz didn't consider the extra large volumes" thing, but there's only a totaly of 6 chapters extra not including the 5 in Vol. 26, so there should still be a half a volume of room. But it can't be the idea that they want 26 to have it's own box, because the advertismen...

Viz DBZ manga box...

I just got the latest Viz "Display Box" for the last few volumes for the series. I also got volume "25" (or volume 41 of the original) and I noticed that it's larger than the normal manga volume. However, when I put this volume into my almost completed Display Box, I noticed that...

You cans see Toriyama Trunks is way better, and Cell too, and MAjin Vegeta, all of them are better than the anime. Not entirely true. In some cases, you can tell when Toriyama was being rushed and you can see when he draws Saiyan hair (mainly Vegeta) without all of its little curved details. I'd sc...

Hey gotenx, could you sort out those first few pics with the media player in the background? They do look bad, the artist clearly cannot draw Freeza. But looking at that Gohan I'm thinking it's the 'better than Toriyama' artist...even though he isn't really better than Toriyama. Eh, I don't think h...

Why do they always have tiny feet? :? Actually, the feet in the actual manga/anime aren't that big to begin with, if I recall correctly. That figure DOES look like one of those fanmade characters. His head doesn't even match the skin of the rest of him. :? Yeah, that happens for pretty much all of ...

Ok, ok, so I guess they're not exactly doodles in a traditional sense, since they're so detailed, but whatever... So are mine. People see me doodling and they're all "whoa, that's really good," when it took me like 30 seconds. I wonder how many potentially good designs or concepts have va...

Is (removed site) reliable?

I've ordered a Yu Yu Hakusho set from them, and the quality and everything is great, but I'm thinking it's a bootleg, since I haven't seen any item like this anywhere else released by FUNi... Now to get DBZ related: I'm thinking about getting the original Pioneer DBZ movies from here, but I don't wa...

I'm very much an artist. And let's just say that whenever I doodle, I have a strong tendency to doodle Super Saiyans. 'Nuff said. Me too! My homework planner has so manny little pictures of Goku, and Vegeta, and occasionally my own version of Saiyan armor and scouters. But what I really like to doo...
