I would surely pinpoint a lot of his success in the West to him being the anti-Goku/anti-hero. Someone already touched on this earlier in the thread but I feel that the West really responds to the subversion of expectations in our heroes and villains.

I cannot speak to the DVD presentation of Kai but I love the Blu-ray release and I personally feel that it looks much sharper than it would if you just got it on DVD. If you have a Blu-ray player I'd just spring for the BD Kai even if visual improvement is a bit on the negligible side.

I'm content to know how successful Kai has been on Nicktoons. I remember flipping through the channels and seeing Kai on there. I thought that this couldn't be getting too many viewers could it? How wrong I was.

Same. Utilizing obscenities rarely works or is needed in almost any medium, let alone DB.

A series doesn't need swear words implemented/added to it if it never had them in the first place. It would really take me out of the experience if a series that had never had swear words (especially of the more absence nature) started to use them every which way.

As someone who is in the midst of watching Kai right now the loss of blood hasn't really bothered me. As long as they don't censor too much where it would effect my understanding/enjoyment of a pivotal part of the series makes me think it'll be alright.

WatchMojo doing a top 10 DBZ list? I'm alright with that. I would switch a lot of their rankings around but I do take kindly to more and more exposure of DB to the masses.
