Now why might that be?
Maybe he lives in a country where the manga isn't published? I have that problem with the anime, but I just solve it by getting the american DVDs.

As Dragonball fans, you're all pathetic (some company excluded, ie. those who didnt buy the boxset and justify with OMG TWENTY BUX). Ah, for god's sake, STOP BASHING EVERYONE WHO BUYS THIS SET! I, for one, am not happy with the widescreen, think the remastering sucks, and in all honesty I don't rea...

Strange... The Tournament and Red Ribbon sets from FUNI are two of the three ONLY Dragonball DVDs I own... (The third one is Dragonball GT: The "Lost" Episodes Volume 1, by the way. Those DVDs are pretty hard for me to actually get.) Nice episode. I can easily imagine filler inconsistencie...

 Now THAT is a good cover, although I have one complaint: It doesn't mention widescreen ANYWHERE. Ah, well. It's only something you will be using yourself, right? (I'd actually like to use that too. Could you post one with higher resolution?)

Not bad. Not excellent, but they're fine. It's the contents on the DVDs that matter anyway.

Also worth noting because it's more on topic, on FUNimation's site, here they say "The Dragon Ball franchise has also generated 17 movies and made-for-TV features. There are three Dragon Ball movies, 13 for Dragon Ball Z and one for Dragon Ball GT. All of which have been among the top-rated an...

He means that Toriyama meant to end DB after Freeza (or stuff along the same tangent)... I dunno where you got that gag manga stuff from. Yeah, and then again at the end of the Cell Game, which would have made a perfect ending in my opinion, as that one can actually be considered an ending as it is...

When you think about it Dragon Ball's dub is not terrific but it's decent. (Unlike a certain 4kids dub about pirates :x) Well, sure. Compared to the One Piece dub, even the GT dub seems like a masterpiece. But Dragonball still suffers from pointless script-changes that sometimes contradict themselv...

What should I do? Wait 'till I have enough money so that I can buy the Dragon Box material (I don't really mind that there are no subtitles) or buy the Remasterd boxset and watch the show as it is? Just buy the remastered set. Like you said, it's cheaper and has more episodes. (Unless you buy the a...

They have yet to release a good quality Dragon Ball Z product that both dub & sub fans can be happy with. At least that's what I think. Maybe, but they did do a fair job with DB and DBGT. (If one ignores the fact that the first 13 episodes are missing, but that's not FUNI's fault, and people ca...

I never REALLY cried while watching DBZ, but I do remember two times when I almost cried. The first case I can remember is the scene at the end of the Cell Games Saga after Goku died, and has told everyone that they shouldn't revive him. I've only seen it in english, but it was still a really touchi...
