Re: Official On-Going DBZ 2015 Movie Thread: "Resurrection '
Great preview. it truly looks spectacular. Can anyone confirm if Roshi says he's been training in the movie? He doesn't. I admit it was a little strange to see them bring Roshi to the fight as opposed to someone like majin buu who is infinitely stronger. Then again, who cares it's just nice to see ...

Not to rain on anyone's parade but all this talk of stunning animation. How many frames per second we talking here? And attention to detail? Probably nowhere as good as a Ghibli production. But you don't like that subject matter, no? I like all animation but some of it is technically better than ot...

As I've said before. Freeza, who was one shot material by Buu, got to SSJG level in a mere 4 months. If someone that weak can become that strong in such a short amount of time, imagine what Uub could do being the reincarnation of Buu in a equal amount of time. If it makes you feel at all better, Pi...

I have no idea what you guys are getting at but it's getting old. I wish I had filmed the movie illegally just to give you something more concrete to hate.
For what it's worth, the script (as in dialogue and character interactions) is one of the movie's highlights.

Re: Has DB ever been animated "on the ones" (i.e., 24 fps)?
People who are obsessed with putting everything on ones rarely finish films (hint hint Richard Williams). That would be a good point if it weren't for the fact that The Thief and the Cobbler is absolutely fucking gorgeous. Oh I would never contest that it isn't some of the most fabulous animation e...

some of this stuff is on ones: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UuavPx0peFc Apart from these commercials, there are plenty of action sequences in the show and in some of the later movies that feature a number of actions on ones, even if it is very briefly. It's hard to keep things on model when anim...

Hey, I won't complain if the excitement of the crowd made the movie better. Even so, I do think that it was a good movie on its own. Definitely. As it stands, I'm actually of the opinion that it's the best DBZ movie yet. I loved movie 12 but the way the characters are actually treated in RoF actual...

Why aren't there doubles of everyone Whis saved once he turned back time? Did he just reverse time in a way that they just kept their memories instead of just time travel. That's exactly what seems to have happened. Bulma/Goku remember the alt future where everyone has died. They apparently replace...

It seemed to me that he shot his ki down into the earth's core through his fists. It happens very fast but that's how I interpreted it.Polyphase Avatron wrote:Wait, does Freeza destroy the Earth with a ki blast or by punching it? The summary doesn't make it clear.

At the premier, there were a few moments where I thought the crowd shouldn't get so riled up, but when Vegeta finally takes his turn, then transformed into the new form, everyone gave the biggest cheer that we had given throughout the whole film. It was really exciting. I was a bit bummed that Goku...

some pictures of Saturday's event: This is what the red carpet looked like from the inside; the turn out was actually great! http://i305.photobucket.com/albums/nn220/Echidnajig/IMG_0582_zpssqdjsmnh.jpg Here's Nozawa getting absolutely swarmed with eager fans looking for autographs. a question due to the review posted on the web, some people thought that Vegeta refuses to fight with Gold Freezer at first because he is scared, this is because in the review is said that Vegeta refuses to fight with Friezer nervously. What you thinks about it? I was also at the premiere and this ...

Re: What's up with the no kill thing?
How did Krillin use Kienzan and not kill anyone in FnF? He uses it to cut a cliff so that the debris takes out loads of guys all at once. Why would that even work on them? I know they're mooks but I don't see guys of PLs in the mid thousands to get even hurt by that. Who knows; maybe falling debris...

I posted this earlier this week, but went back 20 pages and still couldn't find replies... Is there a reason why Goku can't/won't use SSJ2 or 3 with God ki as well? If he couldn't finish Freeza without going back in time, why not just go SSJ2 then? Is it like learning the forms all over again? SSJG...

I think it was mostly Gohan that Freeza was commenting on. We all know Gohan's always been a big softie so I'm not surprised he opts not to kill anyone.

I strongly encourage everyone to read Jaco before going into this film. If you're prepared for his inclusion, he easily steals the show. One of Toriyama's most fun and lovable characters on screen to date.

I want to comment also on how great and seamless the cg was in this film. I was BoG's number one critic when it came to how crappy the cg looked integrated into the movie. This however, was nearly seamless for the most part. There were only a few key moments where it was even noticeable. The jump in...
