How did Krillin use Kienzan and not kill anyone in FnF? He uses it to cut a cliff so that the debris takes out loads of guys all at once. Why would that even work on them? There was no indication whatsoever that he can sense Ki in the movie.

I think it was mostly Gohan that Freeza was commenting on. We all know Gohan's always been a big softie so I'm not surprised he opts not to kill anyone.

I strongly encourage everyone to read Jaco before going into this film. If you're prepared for his inclusion, he easily steals the show. One of Toriyama's most fun and lovable characters on screen to date.
