Re: Project Versus J (JUMP crossover game) for PS3/Vita
Part I Naruto would be a waste. Part II has more techniques and forms to make use of. Anyway, this game is lookin' nice! Here's pullin' for Kurosaki Ichigo! It worked well in Jump Superstars and Jump Ultimate Stars when they had Part 1 and then Part 2 Naruto characters. Using people like Kakashi an...

Re: Can raw power cancel out special techniques?
I'm gonna say no. Bigger Ki cancels out Smaller Ki. Thats why Krillin can slice through Freeza with a Kienzon. Freeza wasn't prepared for the attack and as such he didnt have Ki to protect his tail at the time. Just checked my manga and Krillin launched a few more Kienzan's at Freeza. I doubt Freez...

Re: Buu Saga Piccolo and Buu Saga base Saiyan comparison
Realistically, I don't think Piccolo has come close to the Saiyan's battle power for a long time. He was beaten by third form Freeza, second form Cell, Majin Buu... I think his strength lies in his intelligence and regenerative powers, but if someone very aggressive does some heavy damage to him, he...

Re: 10 years since the released of DBZ Budokai
The first time I played Budokai was on my Gamecube. I remember the Japanese voices and the funny subtitles "aunt sallies". I also remembered the funny what-if missions, like the one with Krillin and Cell fusing. Then I got Budokai 2, couldn't get 3 because it didn't come out on Gamecube. A...

Re: Project Versus J (JUMP crossover game) announced
I'd love for this to be for PS3 but something's telling me it's going to be for the 3DS or Vita (maybe even for the Wii U). Let's just hope it uses characters that are licensed by Viz and Funimation, then we just might see an overseas release, if not I don't really see it happening tbh. So, One Pie...

Re: Episode #0314 (18 November 2012)
I was excited to listen to the review of the HD versions of Budokai 1 and Budokai 3. Shame they changed the music, I have some fond memories of those songs. While the idea of re-releasing old DBZ games is interesting, I think they missed a trick by not having Budokai 2 to complete the trilogy. I pla...

While Wii equipment is compatible with the Wii U, it generally doesn't work the other way around.

Re: DBZ Budokai HD Collection: Official On-Going Thread
Gamespot must get access to sales figures too, since they report when games have a large number of sales. Out of the original 'budokai' games, I like Infinite World the best, since it had none of the 'rotate the stick' minigames of Budokai 1 and none of the wacky storymode of Budokai 2. Didn't reall...

It's a scary situation, we don't get anything like that in England, so it's even stranger for us. Our hearts are with anyone who's lost precious possessions and been separated from loved ones.

Let's Play of DBZ Legendary Super Warriors (GBC)
Hi. I just wanted everyone to know I've started a Let's Play of DBZ LSW on the Gameboy Color.
It's my first Let's Play video so it would be great if I could have some feedback/advice.

Re: Episode #0311 (30 September 2012)
Butoden 2/3 were some of the first SNES games I ever played. I also played a lot of the Legend of the Super Saiyan RPG and some of the other games too (Gokuden, Hyper Dimension). One thing I forgot was how hard Butoden 1 was. I could barely beat Vegeta in the story mode! Ultimate Butoden on the DS d...

Re: Namco Bandai game business up 32% in fiscal quarter
Admittedly American companies have also been suffering, but people still buy Assassins Creed, Skyrim and Grand Theft Auto in large numbers, enough to keep those companies running and fund more games and projects. Japanese games tend to be quirky and innovative and the general population applaud them...

Re: 'Controlling one's battle power' Confusion
Does his battle with Piccolo in the 23rd Budokai qualify as a "near-death" experience? Goku got a gigantic hole in his chest. If that's not a near-death experience I don't know what is. Characters in anime like Goku, Naruto and Luffy take a ridiculous amount of punishment without dying. I...

Re: 'Controlling one's battle power' Confusion
Well okay, maybe not rubbish, but he certainly wasn't as skilled with Ki as Jeice was. Or at the very least, didn't show any knowledge of unique Ki moves (besides Purple Comet). In the videogames for example, he focuses more on speed and physical combat. Of course I realise the games aren't canon an...

Exactly! Then there was the whole 'wolf-man' thing as well. But hey, at least the werewolves would all be fine! (Just forget about the moon bunnies)
