I need a price, and if it's going to retail. Fingers crossed they give more info soon.

Re: Funimations 30th anniversary collectible home video release
To be honest, if it comes to over $500, I think I'll have to drop my interest, as being in England, I'll have to pay 20% Import VAT and 2.5% customs tax. So unless my local import site can get it, as they cover the import fees, then I'll be forced to end my interest. I can possibly stretch a little ...

Re: Funimations 30th anniversary collectible home video release
Theory, literally just thought of it. What if FUNi got more than the initial 2500 sign-ups for this set & they wanted to artificially inflate the number of people who've signed up since we don't know that number. I believe the sign ups weren't actually an agreement to purchase, but simply signi...

Re: "Dragon Ball Super" FUNimation Dub Official Discussion Thread
If Super is coming back in July as rumoured, I wonder if Toei will let Funimation continue on their current schedule and time slot, and go straight into episode 132 the week after 131 airs?. In a way, this could be the best possible outcome Funimation could have hoped for. It would put the dub a lit...

Re: "Dragon Ball Game Project Z Action RPG" Announced.
I'd be happy with storm series gameplay for the fights. I do think that the gameplay needs to be accessible to people of all ages, and skill level. Since Raging Blast 2, we haven't seen complicated combos, as Bandai Namco want these games to be accessible to children. This game should cover all of D...

Re: Funimations 30th anniversary collectible home video release
There is a panel today at SXSW, hosted by Funimation, in celebration of their 25th anniversary about anime and gaming. Dragon Ball is part of it, and they will discuss what is to come in their 25th year as a company. Maybe they will announce further details about this set there? it starts at 14.30 ...

Re: Funimations 30th anniversary collectible home video release
Am seeing comments on social media, people saying they aren't willing to pay $500.
Personally, I just don't see them charging less than that.
We don't know all the details, there could be a lot more in that box, which will make it "worth it" to those that see it as being too expensive.

Re: Funimations 30th anniversary collectible home video release
Sorry if this has already been posted.
FUNimation have adjusted their minimum orders for print from 2500, up to 3000.
If these were to sell at $500 each, they stand to make $1.5M.
We're talking big money here, and that's only to get to print.

Re: Funimations 30th anniversary collectible home video release
I'm reaching here, but there's a small chance they may put the set up for pre-order along with the June Solicits. The preliminary listings (for the first week) were listed on Thursday, which is over a week early. I have a feeling the slate will go up early next week, along with the set, could be wro...

I hope the announcement comes within the next few days. I think it'll be at least a week, maybe two.
It needs to be 4:3. I'm so excited!.

Re: Funimations 30th anniversary collectible home video release
I'm thinking $500. $250 for BD, then the art book and Figurine a further $250.
Any higher, and I'm not sure I want to go there, $600 and upwards of that figure, then we're just getting into silly money.

Re: Funimations 30th anniversary collectible home video release
This is a 4:3 release, Geekdom seems confident in it. That's good enough for me.
I can see this easily fetching up to $600. I'm reluctant to go any higher, as that's crazy money.

Re: Funimations 30th anniversary collectible home video release
I'm so excited about what this release could be. I would love it if they reprinted the dragon books, condensed them down into one, and included it with this release, hopefully in a nice chipboard box. Let's hope for news soon. Here we go.... https://mobile.twitter.com/FUNimation/status/1101626635143...

Re: Funimations 30th anniversary collectible home video release
Perhaps, or maybe in April even around the 30th anniversary itself since that's when DBZ premiered on TV back in 1989. Though i guess we will see in the coming weeks when the announcement eventually comes. I agree. I think it may even be possible that Lisa Yamatoya simply got the anniversary dates ...

Still no announcement. I wonder why Toei gave a time frame for it, unless it comes tomorrow.
Fingers crossed, not sure why they are keeping us waiting.

Re: Funimations 30th anniversary collectible home video release
I really hope we don't get this over 7-9 sets. We should be way past this by now.
At the absolute most, 3 boxes with around 100 episodes each.
To be honest, I hope we just get one, but I doubt they will do that, but you never know.

Re: "Dragon Ball Game Project Z Action RPG" Announced.
It's the 18th, chill. I'm chilled, well, not the Bardock villain. I guess the source could have been getting it from a different source, and maybe doesn't have access to the magazine themselves. http://ryokutya2089.com We never get all the Dragon Ball info at once in V-Jump leaks. Hell, unless the ...
