I felt the same way. I'm gonna have to pop that one in this week sometime.

So, I just went through half of movie 8. It kinda takes longer to watch when you keep stopping on certain points and click through each frame individually. But I came across some pretty interesting shots. These were definitely some of my favorites...

A really shocked Goku...

Roshi changes into Arale and then into a Super Saiyan...

If you'd like to see my discoveries so far (I will look through the rest of the movie tomorrow) you can check out my "DBZ In-Between Animation" screen shots here:

Most of the screen shots show really bad or off model drawings. I'm not doing this to knock the animators. it's just... I just find it interesting.

Really enjoyed the spontaneity of this podcast in regards to covering DBZ movie 8. I thought there was a great amount of enthusiasm on both your ends that wasn't as present in some of the recent previous podcasts.

Also nice to hear that you guys are preparing yourselves for the onslaught of upcoming new information in regards to the premiere of Buu arc Kai and what not. Cannot wait for April to get here!

The 'Who's that Character' appears to be Tapion.

The "Who's That Characters" is Tapion when he is talking to Bulma about Hirudegarn.

@ Tanooki - I love those in-between shots of Roshi. I've noticed both of those before (think it was only on my last viewing that I noticed Arale though, as it goes by so fast), but they never fail to amuse me.

It was definitely fun to hear you (Mike and Meri I mean) re-visit this movie, and it sounds like you re-discovered why a lot of us, myself included, enjoy at least this first film without lumping it in with Broly as a whole. This movie plays itself a lot more like a 'movie' than most of the previous films, and even some of the following ones, do. While it's attempts at having a more solid plot may not be the best in the world as a whole, it at least 'attempts' where other movies were more happy to just rip story elements from other arcs. And for that I applaud it greatly.
