What season is it? I have an extra Season one case on ebay now.
I don't get it, why did these raise in price? It's not like FUNimation won't produce more, lol.

I'm guessing it is, my copy was just charged on amazon and won't be able to check till probably the 20th due to Monday being a Holiday.
I'm just hoping season 2 isn't as bright OB S2 was.

Okay, so why are these being sold at $17 a pop? Doesn't make sense unless they're working on a better restoration at the same time and these are just hold offs. Don't even remember the Orange bricks being this cheap until just a few years ago.

They must have seen everyone complaining about their strange decision to crop the show. Currently, the best adaptation in original format is the Belgian A-B group Remasterisée set. I have little faith in Funimation these days, they ticked me off by choosing 16:9 cropped 20% of Toriyama's masterpiece.

Don't get me wrong, if Funimation makes a good unbastardized version, I will be the first in line to get one, also pretty sure AB group will be the vendor for the european sub versions.

Also, they deleted the listing for season 1 because ''there was something wrong with the product''. So this must be a clearance sale.

To be perfectly honest, I couldn't care less about the fans a re-issue might alienate because if all they're concerned about is being able to scalp the people who were either unaware of the Dragon Boxes or couldn't afford them at the time, they're just leeches and deserve to have their greed backfire on them.

Well, the MSRP for them is still a solid $45 each. Some retailers (or at least just Amazon; are they this cheap on RightStuf and such too?) are just selling them at a heavily discounted price for some reason. Maybe they just realize that DBZ sells no matter what and figure they can move more items this way.
Dragon Ball ended in 1997.

My Season 2 is being processed at the moment, should be here Wednesday  Screw Amazon, all I had to do is cough an extra £10, to avoid bad packaging, any customs fee's and really slow delivery to the UK. Frickin' love United Publications, managed to get Fairy Tail part 8 one week early and in the U.K too.

So can anyone tell me what the deal is with this Season Two release? Why did Right Stuff claim it was delayed by Funimation if Amazon is charging people for the release and it will be shipped out? With a user here who has already received the BD I wonder what happened at Right Stuff to make such a claim. Unless this is all Funimation's doing but that would be a very odd thing to do on their part.

And they're all gonna be around here long after we're dead. So, in a way, those things are more realer than any of us.

Well I guess we won't have the full story until tonight/tomorrow then. Anyone who has ordered the Season 2 BD should keep the thread posted as to shipping notifications and charges etc, I know I will.

According to Amazon, my copy has shipped. Huh, I guess this means that it wasn't delayed after all. How odd.

Oh well that gives me more hope that my copy will ship from Amazon soon then. I guess since I'm in the UK it will take a bit longer to ship out...

Going by this pattern, it's possible these sets could be done by this year or at the very least early next year.

I mean, you're pretty open about looking at cartoon porn. Why would you do that? It's fiction. The proportions of these women are not possible to reach in reality.

Wow! May 13th? Season Three is out on the 1st April! Funimation really are just throwing these sets out quick! That's great though, saves us waiting 2 years to get Season 9... I remember the painful slow collecting when I was buying the Orange Bricks back in 2007. Can't wait to see what the artwork will be like! Anyone got any special preferences to who they want seen on Seasons 4 - 6 art? :P

Well that's good to see! Hopefully they'll keep releasing them....I'm a little sad that I don't know if Toriko part 5 is coming out yet or not. :(
The Dragonboxes are like a middle aged woman who still looks good through simply taking good care of her skin and body with maybe a tiny bit of makeup while the Orange Bricks are like a middle aged woman who get's 50 tons of botox, makeup and plastic surgery in order to look younger and as a result looks even worse. ~ ringworm128

It's up on the FUNImation store but sadly no art yet and an incorrect release date:
http://shop.funimation.com/Shop/ShopPro ... emid=87105

I think it'll Trunks vs Freeza and his father with the android in the background vs Z warrior's.

Anyway, glad they're dishing them out :D Can't wait untill the Buu saga!

Don't think it was a good seller for them, so they haven't been in a hurry to get them out it seems.

But more Fairy Tail aswell as Haganai Next and sentai releasing the book of bantorra on BD, man my wallets going to take a beating in May

Season One - December 31, 2014
Season Two - February 18, 2014
Season Three - April 1, 2014
Season Four - May 13, 2014
Season Five - ?
Season Six - ?
Season Seven - ?
Season Eight - ?
Season Nine - ?

Isn't FUNimation releasing these volumes a little too quickly? I'm wondering if they go through QA.
FUNimation 2015 Releases I want:

Even though they're releasing new volumes really quickly, isn't it inevitable that later volumes are going to conflict with Buu arc Kai? They're saturating the market yet again, which seems absurd to me.
