Episode Summary
Part A
The Demon Realm dragon has granted Glorio’s wish, which Arinsu believes will grant her the power to become the new Demon King. Instead, Goku, Piccolo, Vegeta, and the others all start to glow and transform back into their adult selves! Dende is the last to change, growing back to normal right in Panzy’s arms. Goku thanks Glorio by incorrect name yet again, while Arinsu remains agape at the dragon, who says his farewell. The three Demon World Dragon Balls rise to the sky and scatter.
Gomah chuckles, saying that even though everyone has returned to normal, they still don’t stand a chance. Vegeta retorts that they shouldn’t be underestimated. Goku thinks that they should fight one at a time now that they’re back to normal, which Vegeta takes to mean it’s his turn again now. The two cross paths in the sky with Vegeta yelling for no-one to jump in. Vegeta and Gomah stare each other down for a moment before Vegeta rushes back in for another round. The two trade blows and blocks alike, and King Kadan and his gang are already blown away by this new adult power out of Vegeta.
Glorio apologies to Arinsu, who asks if he’s forgotten her kindness in rescuing him from the Third Demon World. Glorio is grateful of course, but… Arinsu tells him to forget it: he’s fired. Glorio thanks her one last time, and rushes toward the Earthlings. Koo smirks and says not to worry, since he’s sticking with Arinsu!
Vegeta flies away from Gomah’s blasts, and figures he’s gotten used to his adult body again. He resumes his assault, landing a huge blast directly to Gomah’s stomach. Gomah tries to trap Vegeta between his two giant hands, but a Super Saiyan transformation is plenty to break free and resume the attack. Vegeta transforms up to Super Saiyan 3 mid-flight and stares down Gomah for a moment. As with his attacks against Tamagami Number Two, Vegeta’s strikes are precise and direct, wrapping up with an overhead leg strike which knocks Gomah to the ground. The Third Eye resonates and keeps Gomah in the game, however, as Goku and the others watch on.
Glorio hesitantly walks towards the others, uncertain of their response. Panzy runs up and grabs his hands with a smile, however, pulling him back over to the full group. Kaiōshin thanks Glorio personally, and even Neva gives a wink. Goku finally gets Glorio’s name correct, and returns his attention to the fight.
Gomah keeps getting back up against Vegeta, even with these incredible attacks. Vegeta finally powers up a blast from his palms, which he fires up at Gomah… who responds in kind with a blast of his own. The beams clash, but Vegeta is eventually able to overpower it, pushing Gomah up through the clouds.
Vegeta struggles to recover after expending such energy, but Gomah lowers himself back down, arms crossed, seemingly unaffected. Gomah then suddenly appears directly behind Vegeta, punching him back up through the very crater he created with his blast.
Part B
Vegeta and Gomah continue their battle, but as Goku observes, Vegeta won’t last much longer fighting like this as Super Saiyan 3, and Gomah doesn’t seem to get exhausted at all. Piccolo supposes this is an effect of the Third Eye, and even though they’ve been restored to adults, they still have all their damage and exhaustion from before.
Arinsu recalls that Abra used to attach and remove the Third Eye at will, wondering how he accomplished that. Arinsu then calls for Koo to go grab the Book of Magic Items from archive number 37; Koo immediately flies off to retrieve it.
A completely exhausted Vegeta is grabbed and pummeled by Gomah, and Vegeta’s hair starts to phase in and out of its color before he ultimately returns back to normal form. Goku wants to jump in now, but Vegeta is having none of it.
Goku and Piccolo continue their discussion from the sidelines, reiterating that Gomah doesn’t seem to lose any stamina no matter how much they hit him; Goku joining in doesn’t seem like it would make much difference, anyway.
Koo returns to Arinsu with a giant book, which she magically opens and begins slowly flipping through. Koo asks if he can help, taking hold of the book, licking a finger, and blazing through pages at a furious rate. He eventually lands on the page they’re looking for!
Arinsu, Koo, and Doo appear up on a cliff above Glorio and the others, telling them to listen closely: the Third Eye can be removed if they hit him in the back of the head three times in a row. Kaiōshin thanks her, but Arinsu says not to misunderstand: she just wants Gomah defeated.
Piccolo and Goku continue their conversation with this new information. It doesn’t seem like Gomah will give them much of an opening, and though Goku doesn’t have much stamina left, he at least has a little more than Vegeta does… so Goku will jump in to fight while Piccolo looks for an opening to hit Gomah in the back of the head.
Kaiōshin chimes in, saying Vegeta would clearly rather die than let anyone take over, so Bulma says she’ll handle this. Bulma walks forward, takes a deep breath, and yells up for Vegeta to let everyone else fight, or otherwise she’s not going to take a bath with him again! Vegeta reacts in almost slow motion, then immediately zips back down the ground, saying he’ll let them take over. Everyone silently watches on with a grimace.
Goku says they’ll only have one chance, because Gomah will be on guard if he suspects anything. Goku flies up and around Gomah, then stretches a little bit. Gomah says it doesn’t matter who fights, so why don’t they all team up at once? Goku thinks to himself that he doesn’t have much time, so he needs to end this quickly.
Goku tells Gomah to watch, hunches over, and transforms up to Super Saiyan, naming it aloud to Gomah. Without flinching, Goku transforms up again to Super Saiyan 2, likewise naming it aloud. Goku smirks and hunches over again, this time putting more energy into it. Lightning begins to crackle all around the arena as Goku’s hair grows further out his head. When the smoke clears, Goku has transformed up to Super Saiyan 3, likewise naming it aloud for Gomah, who dismisses it all as pointless transformations. Hybis says these guys seem more like Majin!
Gomah strikes a pose ready to fight, but Goku says he has one more. Goku tosses his shirt off and powers up yet again , with the lightning crackling not just around them at the arena, but also catching the attention of Tamagami Number Two and Three, respectively, across the Demon World. A red-haired, monkey-like Goku grabs a rock and raises himself up, clenching his fists and smiling!

Episode Notes
Episode Structure
- Keeping up with the series’ ongoing inconsistency between formal episode title cards and titles written in the lower corner overtop footage, episode 19 overlays the title atop footage.
- As done with some previous episodes, no eyecatch animation or jingle is used to indicate the commercial break. As “Part A” of the episode concludes and prepares to cut to the commercial break, the Dragon Ball Daima series logo appears in the lower left corner. When the episode returns from commercial break, the logo remains visible before fading away.
Past Content Allusions
-
Goku’s showcase of the various Super Saiyan transformation levels to Gomah is a clear reference to his same showcase for Bobbidi and Boo back in the original series (as seen in manga chapter 474 and Dragon Ball Z episode 245), up through and including the iconic “And…” (そして; soshite) with a smirk in between 2 and 3.
-
Super Saiyan 4 — originally designed by Katsuyoshi Nakatsuru for the 1996-1997 television series Dragon Ball GT — makes its return here anew with a redesign, now in adult form (compared to child form from the previous episode, and albeit still not actually named aloud within Daima itself). The scene of Goku grabbing a rock and almost kneeling atop the cliff seems like a clear allusion to the iconic pose from the Dragon Ball GT opening theme’s second animation sequence, which ends with a similar pose.
Translation & Language
- When thinking about how Abra would add and remove the Third Eye at will, Arinsu tells Koo to go fetch the “book of magic items” (魔力アイテムの書; maryoku aitemu no sho) from “library” or “archive” #37 (書庫の37番; shoko no 37-ban).
- After Goku transforms up to Super Saiyan 3, he surprisingly reveals that he has “one more bonus” (もうひとつオマケ; mō hitotsu omake) beyond that.
Staff & Cast
-
As the wish is granted to restore everyone to adults toward the beginning of the episode, Piccolo, Vegeta, Kaiōshin, Bulma, and Dende all regain their original/current (non-Daima-specific-“Mini”) voice actors. These include (with Goku remaining voiced by Masako Nozawa in both normal and “Mini” forms):
- Bulma — Aya Hisakawa
- Vegeta — Ryō Horikawa
- Piccolo — Toshio Furukawa
- Kaiōshin — Shin’ichirō Ōta
- Dende — Aya Hirano
