These are pretty cool! Actually is one of the things I enjoy most in these games. But, can someone explain to me why Caulifla skips SSJ to go straight to SSJ2? It is something weird, cause is not the same issue we had in GT that we had no evidence that Goku, Vegeta or Gohan used SSJ2 in this series, but Caulifla in fact showed she could go SSJ in Super before turning into SSJ2.

But is not something like these? Gosh I miss those remixed BGM, I wished they were in the game without having to buy a pack.

There are parts of Sparking Zero that have me disappointed. They skipped the Universe 6 Tournament completely in story mode even though Hit, Cabba, and Frost are all fighters in the game. They skipped a lot of fights in general in story mode. They didn't cover GT or any of the Z movies either.

The story mode in general feels cheaply made. This game very much feels like a Budokai 1 or Tenkaichi 1 installment that is missing detail.

I would have liked to have seen parts of Super with higher production values. The Other World Tournament, U6 Tournament and Zamasu for instance. They always looked so cheaply made in the shows.

The Super story mode here just makes me want a sequel to Kakarot that actually fleshes out the retellings of the Future Trunks and ToP sagas, and obviously includes the U6 saga too.

And maybe by that point the Moro arc will finally be animated so that Moro and his story arc can be added to Sparking Zero.

It is definitely a shame that the U6 saga was cut. Base Cabba deserved to be portrayed in his full glory.

What are we referring to by "OG"? Like I know the term, I just don't know which costume this would refer to.
Battle High 2, starring Kyle Hebert as well as myself, has been released on Xbox 360, OUYA, PC, Linux, Mac, and Xbox One!

Game sold 3 millon copies within 24 hours of its release.
Dragon Ball was always a kid series and fans should stop being in denial.

The Sparking Zero packs are the original tracks used in the show or available on disc, indeed.
They are not just placed in the story mode and available on free battle, you can also put them at will in your custom episodes to feature soundtracks from the various shows as you see fit in your creation!

Features mostly BGM tracks and songs from DBZ and DBS (including some movies), as well as one song from original DB and one song from DBGT.
Peach wrote: Tue Oct 15, 2024 12:37 am They didn't cover GT or any of the Z movies either.
They already seemingly couldn't cover everything about the characters available: Vegeta's story stops at Boo with nothing about what he did in DBS being touched upon, Piccolo's story stops at the cyborg arc, Gohan starts in the Time Chamber and Trunks starts directly in DBS.

Plus, with Z movies and GT being set in their own continuities, they would have had to find a way to integrate them on the map and in the recaps as "whoops, since you're playing this part, none of what you played just before actually happened".
This is much to ask when they already apparently had to take shortcuts even when it comes to simply conveying the DBZ-DBS events and were like "okay, we can't afford to do DBS with this character, we can't afford to do DBZ with this one", etc.

Why are there stages in the story mode you can't use in the battle mode? Off the top of my head, the intact TOP arena and the U10 Kaioshin world.

It feels very weird to me too. They're here, they're functional and used at points, I would have expected a toggle option between destroyed/intact and Universe 7/10 in the stage selection for those places!

It would open up even more stories to be created in the custom battle mode, and it's not some new stage to create, it's just an option to access what's already there and already used in battles!

This stage thing you guys are talking about couldn't be fixed with a patch update or something?

About the stages, I do like that with little tweaks on the time of day you can almost recreate stages that aren't in the game, like the Tsufuru planet in the Open Field stage (afternoon)

I heard that the reason for Kid Goku in game to have blue uniform under his gi is because they used his appearance in DBS Broly as basis for his model, is it true?
Also, wow, I'm baffled by list of cut characters, I knew this game needed more time in development, I just don't understand though why they would put Mirai Mai specifically when there are other characters just like her (Bulma, Lunch)
I simply wouldn't want to imagine my life without Dragon Ball, thank you Akira Toriyama (1955-2024), you are now immortal ~☆

It’s really a testament to how much internet hype can really push certain games into the stratosphere, and I basically heard nothing but hype for this game for a full on year.

I’ll probably wait till this hits budget price though. Despite every video game content creator trying to sell me that this is “Game of the year” it looks like it has all my problems with anime battle arenas: namely they’re overly simplistic games that you kind of tire of after a couple of hours. And for all the characters in the game, it kinda looks like every one essentially plays the same.

I also never liked the behind the shoulder camera of the tenkaichi games and vastly prefer the budokai games.

I never tried installing mods. Are the mods easy to install?
Its extremely easy man, you have the game on steam?
Yes I do. Can you pm me how? Are kakarot and XenoVerse mods easy too?

It's not simple. At least not for me who's not a gamer. I couldn't master 1/4 th of the controls after two hours playing.

People are putting way too much stock into the character ID thing. It's just placeholder data probably from very early in the game's development that could either represent unused ideas that never even made it to the cutting room floor or potential plans for the future. It doesn't necessarily mean those characters were ever seriously considered for the base roster.
Modern DB story arc scores:

If it's "probably from very early in the game's development" then I believe it's more likely to be the former than the latter.
Unless they were rascal enough to the point of precisely choosing which characters would be DLC so damn early in the game's development.

As a guy who frequently uses DBXV2 mods, installing them is a piece of cake, trust me.

Apparently there's a bug on all platforms that can delete your savefile entirely, be careful, unsure what causes it at the moment

I won't claim it got rushed but I have to think it had to be released now in order to coincide with the release of Daima. That may explain some of the missing oddities.

Daima's release is definitely one reason for the game having some unfinished content. Another thing to remember is that the game started development in 2018, which means the development cycle could've easily been shuffled around during the pandemic back in 2020. If that whole prediciment hadn't had occured, there's a very good chance this game would've launched with a roster of over 200 characters, over 20 unique stages, and a more fleshed-out local multiplayer.

Despite that, I still like the game that we got, but it does make you wonder...
