“Extreme Butōden” Coming to Europe & America October 2015

Bandai Namco have announced that the Nintendo 3DS game Dragon Ball Z: Extreme Butōden will make its way — with its name intact! — to Europe and the Americas this October.

Localized versions will be released in Europe 16 October 2015 with an American release following suit 20 October 2015.

The announcement comes following a couple very specific teases from the company.

SAN JOSE, Calif., (June 23, 2015) – Leading digital entertainment company BANDAI NAMCO Entertainment America Inc. is proud to announce DRAGON BALL Z: EXTREME BUTODEN for the Nintendo 3DS and New Nintendo 3DS XL handheld system. The game will be available at game retailers and the Nintendo eShop across the Americas starting October 20, 2015.

Developed by famed fighting game designers at Arc System Works, DRAGON BALL Z: EXTREME BUTODEN brings high energy 1-on-1 2D fighting action to fans around the world. With more than 20 playable characters and 100 support characters, fans will be able to create their dream matchups and come to blows with friends through local multiplayer.

Dragon Ball Z: Extreme Butōden launched in Japan 11 June 2015. First-press copies of the game come packed with bonus content, including a downloadable version of the Super Famicom game Dragon Ball Z: Super Butōden 2 (previously included as a part of the J-Legend Retsuden compilation game; albeit now with replacement music). Arc System Works developed the game for Bandai Namco. The developer previously worked on the Bukū… / Supersonic Warriors games on the Nintendo GameBoy Advance and DS.
