Toyotarō “Dragon Ball Super” Manga Vol. 1 Content Updates
Published by 29 February 2016, 11:50 AM EST

Though the first collected edition of Toyotarō’s Dragon Ball Super manga was announced for an April 2016 release earlier this month, its initial listing left much to be desired. The listing has since been updated with two key items of note: a page count (192 pages at the standard tankōbon size) and a digital release date (02 May 2016, approximately one month later than the print release).

The actual chapter contents are still unannounced. Within 192 pages, the entirety of chapters one through ten (which will be printed in next month’s issue of V-Jump prior to the collected volume’s release) could be contained at a perfect 192 pages (including both the first and fifth chapters’ special title pages), assuming the upcoming tenth chapter jumps back down to only 19 pages in length. On the flipside, by including the three 31-page Resurrection ‘F’ manga chapters, up through Dragon Ball Super chapter six could all perfectly fit at exactly 192 pages by perhaps excising the fifth chapter’s special title page.

The Dragon Ball Super manga skipped the Freeza revival arc in order to “charge ahead” with the Champa arc.

The first volume will see its print release in Japan 04 April 2016 for ¥400 + tax and is currently available for pre-order via Amazon Japan.

“Toyotarō” is, in all likelihood, a second pen-name used by Dragon Ball AF fan manga author and illustrator “Toyble”.
