DB characters around the world - Karin-Sama
To all Dragon Ball fans around the world, Let's do something fun together.
In Every two days, I will bring a name of a Dragon Ball character, and we tell each other what's his/her name used with a dub from anywhere around the world.
And Let's start with the our good ol' Son Goku.
We all know that the U.S. dub named him "Zero" with the Harmony Gold dub, and "Goku" without his last name whith FUNimation/Saban dub.
In the Arabic dub, he was named "Son Gogo" for the TV series, and "Kogu" for the first three movies.
Note: The movies were dubbed long before the series.

Ok. I thinka that's it for Goku...
Let's get to our next character... "Muten Roushi" or "Kame Sen’nin"
Like last time, I'll bring first the American dub names because some fans are most familer with them than any other dub names:
Harmony Gold: "Master Roshi"
FUNimation: "Master Roshi" -- the same and sometimes "Turtle Hermit".
As for the Arabic dub, his name "Sage Torto" ((Note: they say "Torto" like it is in English)), and his full title is: "Torto, Master of the Seven Seas" ((I know... it's cheesy and stupid))

Ok, Norway:
In the manga, he's referred to as either "Kame-Sennin" or "Skilpaddenes herre" ("Lord of the turtles"). The two terms are used completely interchangably, with no regard for which term was used in Japan in that instance, and he also introduces himself with both terms when we first meet him, unlike in the original, where "Mutenroushi" is not mentioned until Mt. Frypan.
In the anime he's referred to as "Den gamle" ("The ancient one"), and is given an incredibly unfitting voice that makes him sound like a senile old fool who can't tell left from right.
Can't remember what the animanga called him, but I think they just used the same names the manga did.
The Danish manga uses the same names for him as the Norwegian one (with the Danish spelling "Skildpaddernes herre" for the latter). It also uses "Son-Goku" for our hero, which I forgot to mention in the previous post.

Awesome. Not to hi-jack the thread but do you know any other dub versions of Yamucha's name?kei17 wrote:Piccolo (Ma Junior)
