Chapter Synopsis

Gohan powers back up, making his own crackly lightning return, and he smirks. Cell asks what’s so funny, and Gohan says he’ll be happy to get revenge for his father. Cell says he won’t do as well this time. Vegeta turns around to look back at Trunks, very shocked. And then he screams “SHIIIIIIIIIIIIIT!!!!”, and flies at Cell, turning Super Saiyan along the way. Vegeta fires a huge blast at Cell, and then a whole bunch more. The area explodes, and when Vegeta lets up, Cell comes out of the smoke, undamaged. Vegeta can’t believe it, and Cell smacks Vegeta away, sending him into the ground. Cell then prepares to finish Vegeta off, and fires a blast at him. But Gohan suddenly flies over to Vegeta and takes the hit instead. There’s a big explosion, and when the smoke clears, Gohan is lying on top of Vegeta, and the ground around them is destroyed.

Gohan had taken the brunt of the blast with his left arm, and now Gohan stands up, with his left arm bloody and limp, with that half of his shirt missing. Piccolo screams “Gohan!!!”, while Kuririn curses that stupid Vegeta, since Trunks can be returned to life with the Dragon Balls. Cell says the fun is over, since he’ll end it now. Gohan thinks Cell’s power has upped a lot more than he thought. Piccolo asks if there’s anymore senzu, but Kuririn says they’re all used up. Cell prepares for a Kamehameha, and says he won’t forgive any of them. He’ll destroy the entire Earth and Gohan looks worried.

In the winter, my Siberian husky dog gets really smelly if we don’t shampoo her. Doesn’t it bother her? <Akira>

Page Breakdown

The majority of the Dragon Ball series was drawn in black and white, but chapters were occasionally published with color pages. This breakdown notes how many full-color, limited-color, and black-and-white pages appeared in this chapter. As the tankōbon volumes were not released with these colors intact, any color pages shown are taken from the kanzenban release.
