In the Japanese version of the series, “Brief” is never indicated to be his family name, and so like most of the characters, he probably has a given name and no family name.

In the Japanese version of the series she is never referred to as “Bulma Brief”; as noted above, “Brief” was most likely not intended to be a family name.

Also, in the Japanese version of the series, she is never called “Mrs. Brief”; as noted above, “Brief” was most likely not intended to be a family name.

He crashes into a lady’s car, who proceeds to chew him out for being a police officer who doesn’t even follow traffic laws.

An inhabitant of the village that Oolong terrorizes, his daughter is betrothed to marry Oolong. He attacks Goku with an axe, that shatters, as Goku enters his house. After hearing the story of Oolong, Bulma volunteers Goku to save his daughter and the village in exchange for their Dragon Ball.

Although his name is never mentioned in either the manga or anime, it is presumably to be written in English on the door to his house. In the anime series he is simply credited as a villager, while in Daizenshuu 7 he is listed as the “Axe-Wielding Old Man”. The name “Sherman Priest”, like the names of the village’s three kidnapped girls, is most likely taken from the M4 Sherman and M7 Priest tanks used by the allies during World War II.

Years later, a grown-up Sno contributes her energy to the final Genki-Dama at the end of the series. It’s at this point that her name is first mentioned in the manga proper, although she’s called by name in the anime from the start.

More or less a fun little robot character with a gas-mask created by Akira Toriyama. He uses him in his various manga series to represent himself, sometimes to add quaint little notes and comments.

Many fans assume this character’s name is “Tori-bot”, however this is never officially used in any capacity and is merely a fan name. Japanese sources simply refer to this character as Akira Toriyama.

Bora’s young son, he is taken hostage by Captain Yellow in an attempt to get Bora to surrender. Luckily, Goku happens by and rescues him, and they quickly become friends. After Goku is defeated by Tao Pai-pai, Upa advises him to climb Karin Tower to get stronger. Upa later goes with Goku to Uranai Baba’s palace, and teams up with Pu’er to defeat Dracula Man. After Bora is revived, Upa promises to try and live each day as bravely and energetically as Goku. Years later, he contributes his energy to the final Genki-Dama during the battle with Majin Boo, by at which point he is grown-up with a wife and child.

Budhiyasa is an actual person that Akira Toriyama met while on vacation in Bali with his wife. As a token of his appreciation for Budhiyasa showing them around the island, Toriyama drew a caricature of him in the manga. If you look closely at that scene, you’ll note that Budhiyasa’s name is printed on his shirt, and there is a Bali sticker on Kame-Sen’nin’s suitcase.
West City Woman D7

A young woman in West City who Goku asks for directions to Bulma’s house. She doesn’t know, and advises him to ask a nearby policeman instead. In return, Goku gives her the prize money he won for defeating a local street fighter… the tidy sum of 100,000 zenny!
