Ditto, this also includes the early Dragonball arc. I really disliked the triangular faces and muscles that looked like boulders and rocks clumped onto each other in the later Z series. GT proportions of adult Goku (or any other male character) was really awkward looking.SHINOBI-03 wrote:http://img21.imageshack.us/img21/7731/61624015.png

I didn't like when Toriyama started simplifying his artwork during the Cell-Boo arcs (more angular and square-ish, but less detailed)... this is one thing I like about the anime version of these arcs is that a good deal of the time, the animation looked better than some of the simplistic manga panels.
My favorite "arc" of Toriyama's art is the Piccolo Daimao arc through the end of the Freeza arc, his artwork was super detailed, and had rounded, more natural shapes in his characters. Look at the majority of the first Goku/Vegeta fight: perfection.

Nothing matters (in a cosmic sense.) Have a good time.

Actually, I think the the art during the Goku vs Freeza battle would be my favourite. And Freeza saga in general, but specifically that fight.

Never liked that panel much because it always looked off to me. Goku looks a bit too bulky and short, and really wide.

My favorite art style is during the Saiyajin Saga, the Freeza Arc has some good styles. The art style drops often with very little occurrence of good art style appearing after the Freeza Arc. (At least to me)
Just some examples of my favorite style(s):
Saiyajin Arc
Freeza Arc
Bad art style in Freeza Arc:

Ugh, the "Caveman" art style... It looks acceptable up until the Frieza arc where it is incredibly poorly animated and clashes with everything else.Kienzan88gt wrote:
I call it the "Caveman" art style because when it is used in the Frieza arc, they move so stiffly and barbaric... And torn up Goku looks like a barbarian.
Some examples:
"Kenshi is sitting down right now drawing his mutated spaghetti monsters thinking he's the shit..."--Neptune Kai
